Description:

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy-Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.
The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for your young performers!

Show Notes: Want to be in the show? Here is how you can! Read through this check list to make sure you have everything you need.
1. Ages 8 to 18 only
2. Registered in current class session (Spring 2018) www.cytlafayette.org to register.
3. Sign-up for an audition spot through your family account.
4. Prepare a one minute monologue and a one minute song
5. Auditions start March 6th..... Location at First Baptist Church of Abbeville.

If you are cast in the show, you will need to attend the show fair. Please be prepared for the following: Cast Photo (Wear black Shirt). Pay Production Fee $150.00 (3 Payments of $50.00 can be made on your family account). Measure for costumes. Signup for service hours (costumes,sets, props, front of house, green room, posters, rehearsal monitors and more). Pick up show CD and Script. Have fun! Congratulations on making the cast!
