The Repertory Studio Audition Info
Interested in auditioning for one of our year long classes? (Peter and the Starcatcher, All That Class: A Fosse Inspired Year of Musical Theater, or Oz)? Register for our placeholder class in order to attend auditions for one of these classes! If chosen, the student will attend this class for all three sessions: Fall 2025, Winter 2026, and Spring 2026. The dates of classes will remain the same for the standard session, and students will be charged for the class in three installments prior to the beginning of each standard session. Students in this class will showcase their work on a night separate than the session showcase!
Those who audition and are not selected for the year long class will be asked for their top 3 alternative classes for placement. Spots are limited!
Attendance policy: students who miss a total of 6 classes throughout the year - including more than 2 in a single session - may be removed from their role in the end of the year performance.
Peter and the Starcatcher Audition Requirements (Ages 15-18):
Prerequisites: Students must have taken at least one class in each discipline (acting, voice/musical theater, and dance) in order to be eligible to register for this class. If they do not meet the class requirements, the student must have performed in at least 6 CYT MainStage Productions.
Students need to prepare one comedic monologue and one dramatic monologue. They will also have to read scenes during the audition.
All That Class Audition Requirements (Ages 15-18):
Prerequisites: Students must have taken at least one class in each discipline (acting, voice/musical theater, and dance) in order to be eligible to register for this class. If they do not meet the class requirements, the student must have performed in at least 6 CYT MainStage Productions.
Students will undergo a callback style audition, where they will learn a combination and audition immediately following.
OZ Audition Requirements (Ages 11-14):
Prerequisites: Students must have taken at least one class in each discipline (acting, voice/musical theater, and dance) in order to be eligible to register for this class. If they do not meet the class requirements, the student must have performed in at least 4 CYT MainStage Productions.
Students need to prepare one monologue for auditions, either comedic or dramatic. They will also have to read scenes during the audition.
