Description

Join us for an inspiring Worship Band - Hearts in Harmony class for ages 13–18, where students will experience what it’s like to be part of a live worship team! Whether you’re a vocalist or play an instrument (students are encouraged to bring their own, aside from provided keys), this class will help you grow in both musical skill and spiritual leadership. Students will learn how to blend as a group, harmonize, and build dynamics in a worship set. Along the way, they’ll also explore what it means to lead others in worship with authenticity and heart. The class will culminate in a powerful Parent Observation Night where students will share the music they’ve created together!

Maria Williams

Maria was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and she has always had a love for the dramatics. She has been teaching for CYT for the last 13 years and has loved it more than anything else she has ever been a part of. Maria is a graduate from ULL with a bachelors degree in Spanish and Criminal justice. In 2017 she started a non profit to fight against human trafficking. She has been a music teacher for the last 21 years. She feels it is a beautiful opportunity to be able to teach children instruments, acting and vocals, and then to watch them as they grow and develop in their skill.
