Description

In this colorful and creative class for ages 8–18, students will learn stage makeup skills inspired by the wacky, wonderful world of SpongeBob the Musical! From cheerful sea creatures to over-the-top characters like SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and the rest of Bikini Bottom, students will practice techniques such as bold color blending, contouring, and character design to transform themselves into larger-than-life personalities. Each week, they’ll explore how makeup helps tell a story on stage while experimenting with fun, under-the-sea looks. By the end of the session, students will be ready to bring the vibrant characters of SpongeBob to life with creativity, confidence, and plenty of splashy style!

Shea Best

Shea Best moved to Lafayette, LA from Cypress, CA in 2004 with her husband, Terry. Together they share 5 amazing kiddos! She is currently working at Massage Envy as a licensed esthetician and is also the lead singer for Beach Blvd and the Hot Sause Band. Shea loves all things music, theater, and makeup and has been active with CCT and CYT since 2018. She has performed in 4 CCT shows including Singing in the Rain, White Christmas, Mamma Mia, & Footloose and has served on many committees for CYT including makeup, props and posters. Although she loves performing she is very excited to step into a teaching role!
