Description

Lights, camera, character! In Intro to Acting: Creating a Character on Stage, young performers ages 8–12 will dive into the exciting world of acting by learning how to bring characters to life—from the very first read to their big moment on stage. Through fun scene work, engaging monologues, and imaginative theater games, students will explore voice, movement, emotion, and motivation to fully understand and embody a role. They'll develop confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills while learning how to break down a script, make bold choices, and connect with an audience. Whether you're playing a silly sidekick or a dramatic lead, this class is your first step toward becoming a confident, expressive actor ready to shine under the spotlight! This will conclude with a showcase performance for family and friends, where students can shine on stage!
