Build a strong foundation for musical theater dance! Designed for dancers ages 8–14, this class focuses on the essential skills needed to become a stronger, more confident dancer. Students will work on dance conditioning, leaps, and turns while developing the strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination needed to execute these skills safely and effectively.

Through age-appropriate exercises and skill-focused practice, students will learn proper technique, build body awareness, and gain confidence as they work toward mastering foundational dance skills.

Students will focus on:
  • Building strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through dance conditioning
  • Learning proper technique and body alignment for leaps and turns
  • Developing foundational leap skills and improving jump height and extension
  • Practicing basic turns, spotting, balance, and control
  • Strengthening core and leg muscles to support dance technique
  • Improving flexibility and range of motion through stretching
  • Developing musicality, coordination, and confidence
  • Learning how to safely prepare for and execute more challenging dance skills
This class is a great fit for dancers who are new to leaps and turns or who want to strengthen their foundational technique. Students will build the skills and confidence they need to continue progressing in dance and musical theater.
