This summer, CYT VERMILION is excited to bring you our 2nd Annual Summer Stock Show, The Lion King! If you love performing, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved in a fully staged production!

The Lion King JR. tells the story of the epic adventures of a curious cub named Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as king. Along the way, the young lion encounters a colorful cast of characters including spunky lioness Nala, charismatic meerkat Timon, and loveable warthog Pumbaa. To claim his rightful place on the throne and save his beloved Pridelands, Simba must find his inner strength and confront his wicked Uncle Scar. The Lion King JR. features classic songs from the 1994 film such as “Hakuna Matata” and the Academy Award®-winning “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” as well as additional songs penned for the Broadway production.

• Rehearsals: Monday through Friday, 3 PM - 9 PM, from July 6th - 10th
• Performances - July 12th: where campers will perform two shows for friends and family!

This one-week show/rehearsal process will give students the chance to dive into a complete theatre experience. From rehearsing songs, dances, and lines, to bringing the show to life with costumes and props, it's all about the magic of live performance.

Please Note:

• This is a show/rehearsal process, not a day camp experience.
• Audition videos are due June 4th, followed by Callbacks on June 6th, and students will be required to learn lines, music and some choreography before they arrive on the first day. Students who register after audition videos are due will be cast in the ensemble.
