This summer, CYT Lafayette will be producing our 4th annual summer stock shows! We are thrilled to announce that our teen summer stock show will be Little Shop of Horrors!
A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world. The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
This show will rehearse Mondays through Fridays from 5-9pm for two weeks (July 8th-21st). The students will then get to perform shows (July 20th-21st) for all of their families and friends! Your registration fee includes costumes, sets, and props provided by CYT. Tickets are not included. Spots are limited, so register today!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a show/rehearsal process experience and not a day camp experience. Auditions will be held the weekend prior to the summer stock show’s start date, and any students who register after auditions will be cast in the ensemble.
