Class Description

Reader’s Theater is a type of performance in which the actors hold and read from
scripts. Through a combination of vocal expression, facial expression, and simple movements,
the actors create a dramatic reading of a script, story, or poem. In Reader's Theater, students
will develop vocal and facial expression by reading scripts and poems in large and small groups.
Kids will learn how to use volume, intonation, and articulation to portray emotion. Through
games and short script readings, students will gain expressive confidence and have fun!
