Carol joined the CYT family during the 2009-10 season. She has worked as a Christian educator for nearly thirty years and believes CYT to be one of the most exceptional and nurturing environments for students to study musical theater. Trained as a pianist, vocalist and violinist, Carol spent three summers at the Interlochen Arts Academy and graduated from the University of Michigan, Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in choral music education. She has taught elementary and secondary vocal music, directed children’s music camps, honor choirs and conducted teacher-training workshops. Carol has been the children’s minister at East Bayou Baptist Church for more than a decade, and her greatest joy is helping children develop their creative abilities as they discover who they are in Christ and how He has uniquely equipped them to express worship. Carol and her husband Mike have three college-age sons.
